Top 10 beauty products in June you NEED to try

I discovered lots of new skincare, make-up and hair products this month (and end of last month). Most of these were brand new to me but some are old favourites that I haven’t re-purchased in a while. So let’s get into this…

Skincare

I’ve discovered two fantastic multi-purpose balms recently and I prefer them to my Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream!

Dr Botanicals Lemon Superfood All-in-One Rescue Butter

If you are looking for a quick absorbing, highly moisturising, vegan-friendly balm then check out Dr Botanicals latest launch. You can use this on any areas you have dry skin. I have eczema on my hands and dry skin in general so I love using this on my hands, cuticles, heels, knees and elbows. It also smells so fresh and is perfect for throwing into your handbag!

If you fancy anything, use MAYA20 for 20% off your Dr Botanicals order! I might get a tiny commission. Help a poor freelance writer out 🙂

Lanolips 101 Ointment

This is also a multi-purpose balm but due to its small size, I just use it as a lip balm. I have really dry lips that tend to crack easily (corners of my mouth too, unfortunately) but this is A LIFE SAVER. I’m not exaggerating because it has healed my poor lips.

Jason Mineral Sunscreen

It’s so important to apply sunscreen every single day, even if it’s not sunny outside. I live in England, a country that rarely sees sunlight (it’s nice today though) but I apply this sunscreen every day. My routine: eye cream, moisturiser, sunscreen, primer and foundation.

Mineral sunscreens typically put a lot of people off due to the “white cast” caused by zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. I prefer mineral sunscreens to chemical sunscreens, but finding an affordable mineral sunscreen that works well under make-up can be a challenge.

Jason Mineral Sunscreen blends in really easily and the white cast disappears very quickly. It also sits very nicely under make-up so you do not have an excuse not to slather on the SPF!

Nyx Bare With Me Multi-tasking Spray

Nyx recently launched their new “Bare With Me” range, but I have only tried the spray. I use this as a setting spray and sometimes use this to refresh my make-up later in the day. This bottle has a fantastic spray nozzle, which is essential for setting your make-up – you don’t want a harsh spray that leaves water dripping down your face! I have dry, sensitive skin and this works really well. I wish it had a nicer scent though!

Haircare

Paradoxx Hangover Hair Elixir

How cute is this bottle? It’s not just pretty to look at; it also makes my hair look pretty. It rehydrates tired, dull and damaged hair. It revitalises your hair like how a cold glass of orange juice makes you feel more human after a night of too much alcohol…

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil powder

This is not new to me but I haven’t re-purchased it in a while! It’s one of my all time favourite loose powders and I’m so glad that it’s back in my collection.

Nyx Matte Liquid Eyeliner

This also isn’t new to me, but I can confirm that it’s still my favourite liquid liner. I wear liquid and pencil eyeliner every single day, but I prefer this over some of the high end eyeliners I’ve tried!

Nina Ricci Jumbo Lipstick “Totemic Red”

Nina Ricci created one of my favourite perfumes so I’m glad that I got my hands on two of her lipsticks! I also have a fuchsia pink shade, but red is definitely my colour! It’s not transfer-proof but it somehow stays on all day, even after eating and drinking. It leaves a nice stain so my lips still look great even after wearing lipstick for 8 or so hours. The staying power is amazing.

OPI Tokyo Collection

My favourite nail polish brand has released their new Tokyo collection and they’re so pretty! I have a HUGE OPI nail polish collection and I am so happy to add these to my collection.

This is the shade “All Your Dreams in Vending Machines” but I also have “How Does Your Zen Garden Grow” and “Rice Rice Baby”. I love OPI nail polishes because they come with a big brush that ensures smooth and even application. I also have a new bottle of OPI Start To Finish which is a base coat, top coat and strengthener in one. I’ve been using this (and the OPI Nail Envy) for years. Like a decade.
